Each year my son John rides in the Seattle American Diabetes Association - Tour de Cure. Two years ago he rode in memory of his sister Jennifer. Last year he rode in memory of his brother Jason. This year he rode in my honor. I am humbled by his commitment, determination and his perseverance.  He's been working full time, and going to school full time. He put his love of Lacrosse on hold, and even thought he could not train, stepped up and completed his mission, "70.2 miles cold bore." (It's what Navy Machinist Mates say) I am so proud of him.
