The invitation seemed legit, "I've been following your posts on LinkedIn an wants to invite you to join a new discussion group".  I got a sense that I'd heard this story before, but I thought I'd check it out. As soon as I joined the group I started receiving messages about all the special, limited time offers, special valuable videos just for me and webinar calls I simply couldn't afford to miss. Old tricks from a new direction. Email mass marketing of the "join my list and I'm market to you until you die" school. Don't fall for this old trick. It's a new way to tricky folks into opt'ing in to a marketing campaign. The worst part is the scam offers to share how they tricked you so you can do the same.
