"It's August 1st, do you know where your calendars are?"Right about 8:15 every morning your technology changes. Today it was my analog calendar. My friends and clients at How-To-Live.com publish whimsical, beachy calendars each year. You'd think it's a one shot sales opportunity. End of year, buy a calendar. As I flipped my calendar to August, How-To-Live.com gained top-of-mind awareness. This happens every month. Since they keep really good records, they will be able to send a reminder, with a special offer or maybe just a happy message (check out their voicemail at 609-597-4455). From once a year to once a month, what an opportunity for staying connected to your clients.
Anniversary Marketing
As a business professional, staying connected to your clients is important. Any reason other than, "You need to buy something." will work. Highrise is my Contact Relationship Management (CRM) platform. It includes an Add An Important Date feature. I use it to remind me of Birthdays, First Meeting, etc. I do the same for my newsletter subscribers, by using a MailChimp Auto Responder to schedule a thank you email to arrive on the 1 month anniversary of their subscription. Yes it's automated, but the message is personal. My friend Lydia Ramsey received a thank you to her subscriber thank you email, "I know this is an automated reply, but the fact you thought of it makes it special."Insight
